High School Athletics 2022-23, Girls Volleyball: Hawks Named to All-SCCAL Rosters

Girls Volleyball, 12/1/2022: Santa Cruz Sentinel, 12/9/2022, “All-SCCAL Girls Volleyball,” four Mount Madonna School (MMS) student athletes were named as part of honorary “All-Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League” girls volleyball rosters.

Seniors Bella Cambell and Mariah Cohen were both named to Second Team; junior Cy Harris and senior Cecily Kelly were recognized as Honorable Mentions.

Girls Volleyball, 10/27/2022: The Mount Madonna School Hawks have qualified to compete in the Central Coast Section playoffs! The Hawks will play Santa Catalina School at Santa Catalina in Monterey in the D-V quarterfinals match, Tuesday, November 1 at 7:00pm. GO HAWKS!

Girls Volleyball and Cross Country, 10/20/2022, Mount Madonna’s first-ever Homecoming Week celebration got underway, with a school Spirit Day, Tailgate feast and Senior Night celebration before the girls volleyball match vs Soquel High School. Mount Madonna also hosted a cross country meet on its campus trails, and the Hawks were represented by Ezze Farrazaino, Kyler Nishimura, Jacob Sirk-Traugh and Sam Kaplan.

Kudos to all student athletes, and a special shout out to our fall season Hawks’ senior athletes: Bella Cambell, Cecily Kelly, Jacob Sirk-Traugh, Mariah Cohen, Sam Kaplan and Zoey Ocampo-Sobkoviak!  GO HAWKS!

Girls Volleyball, Santa Cruz Sentinel, 10/15/2022: Mount Madonna 3, San Lorenzo Valley 0 FELTON — Mariah Cohen had 15 kills to lead the Hawks to a 25-23, 25-15, 25-21 sweep in SCCAL play Thursday. Emma Monclus had five kills for the Hawks (7-10, 2-8), who play in the Rancho San Juan Tournament on Saturday and host Harbor on Tuesday.

Hawks Win Season Opener – Girls Volleyball, August 26, 2022: According to the Santa Cruz Sentinel, 8/27/2022,  Mount Madonna senior Mariah Cohen had 17 kills and the Hawks won their season opener against St. Francis High School, 25-15, 25-8, 25-18 on Friday.

Senior Zoey Ocampo-Sobkoviak added 11 kills for Mount Madonna (1-0), Freshman Eden Fisher had seven kills and four aces, while senior Bella Cambell had 38 assists.
