Aaron Colton (’08) Receives Poetry Award

Aaron Colton (’08), currently at Vassar College, was recently awarded the Vassar College English Department’s Deanne Beach Stoneham Prize for Poetry for the best original poem titled “Voice Inhabitance”.  Aaron won $400 and his award was listed in the Commencement Program for this year’s graduates.  Also, two of Aaron’s poems “Farewell, Omaha” and “Elegy for Hope” were recently published in the Vassar College literary magazine, the Helicon.

Eyla Cuenca’s (’05) Art Included in LACMA & LAUSD Art Show

Eyla has work in this art show, a collaborative between LACMA and the Los Angeles Unified School District, opening  on Friday, October 15, 3-5pm at Charles White Elementary School, 2401 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles. Eyla would love to see fellow alum at the Opening Reception!

Update from Eyla: She was on the East Coast for many years but is now in Napa teaching darkroom photography at the Oxbow School.
