CCS Champions Again!!

For the first time in 11 years, Mount Madonna School’s boys varsity volleyball team has emerged as the DII Central Coast Section (CCS) Champions!

In addition to being champions on the court, the team’s academic prowess is being hailed, too: the Hawks were awarded the CCS’ highest academic honor by the CIF: “2013 CCS Scholastic Championship Team Award,” signifying they have the highest team GPA (3.724) of all the CCS volleyball teams.

More Competition to Come

The event will feature 8 teams (2 from CCS, 4 from the North Coast Section, and 2 from the Sac-Joaquin Section) and will take place on May 21 and 23, with the championship on May 25. Seeding and match locations will be announced following the May 19 seed meeting. Mount Madonna is likely to host one of the matches at Pajaro Valley High School – stay tuned for more details soon!
