Class of ’25 Senior Spotlight: Nash Wilson

My name is Nash Goodspeed Wilson, and I live in Corralitos, CA.

What grade did you start at Mount Madonna School?
I have been at Mount Madonna School since preschool.

What is your favorite genre of music, artist, and/or song?
My favorite genres of music are reggae, rock, and reggae-rock. According to Spotify, my favorite artist is Sublime, which is totally true.

What is your favorite book or movie and why?
Me and my sister Blythe watch the “Harry Potter” series at least once or twice a year.

What is your favorite subject in school and why?
I really enjoy Philosophy and Film with Greg because you get to talk about complicated philosophical ideas, which makes me feel very intelligent while also getting to watch a bunch of cool movies. I also love Greg’s sarcastic sense of humor and getting to be with the Junior class.

If you had the power to change one thing in the world, what would it be?
This question is very difficult to answer. I could pick something like world peace, removing disease, helping the people of the world think without bias, or even free ponies for everyone. However, no matter what I pick I feel there will always be a better option, and even if I were to remove a specific problem from the world more problems will always come up.

Name one big challenge in your life right now.
Finding closure before I graduate.

What is your dream job and why?
I would probably want want to be an anesthesiologist because it’s an important job and they make a lot of money.

What inspires you?
Personally, I feel that food can motivate me quite a bit.

What is your favorite memory of your time at Mount Madonna School?
Just every memory in preschool with Hema. From organized activities such as baking bread, to playing freely in the fairy forest.

What is the mantra or catchphrase that most encapsulates your way of being?
“If life is a journey, then the destination would be death. So you might as well enjoy the journey and the friends we made along the way.”

What are your plans after High School graduation?
Here is the plan so far: 1). go to Cabrillo College for two years 2). transfer to a different college (probably somewhere in Nor-Cal or Oregon).
