Mount Madonna School (MMS) alumna Usha Kilpatrick (‘89) is currently serving as the President of the Hanuman Fellowship Board, where she is working alongside an exceptional team to help chart the path forward for the fellowship during these pivotal times
“I am deeply inspired to be on this journey! The more that I engage in life outside of Mount Madonna, the more I realize what a gift it is to have grown up at Mount Madonna Center and to have attended Mount Madonna School. One of the greatest joys has been working with fellow MMS alumni, including Prabha Pacey (‘86), Tobias Aguirre (‘94), Lara Kilpatrick (‘85), Ryan Oliver (‘94), PK Hattis (‘11), and Sangita Diaz (‘99), who are all serving on the HFS board or in leadership positions with Mount Madonna Center. The qualities and skills that we all developed at MMS serve as a foundation and compass for our work together ﹘ curiosity, creativity, rigor and perhaps most importantly, compassion and a desire to serve. We were raised to be humble leaders. I am inspired to give back to the community that gave me these gifts and so many more, and to contribute to the vitality of the Hanuman Fellowship so that it may continue to thrive for generations to come.”
Usha lives in Kealakekua, Hawaii and works as the Hawaii Program Director for The Healy Foundation, which builds community and supports the environment and youth by awarding grants and scholarships in Oregon and Hawaii. She has two daughters Ella, 25, and Rowan, 22 who live in Providence, Rhode Island and Kealakekua, Hawaii, respectively.
