Learn to Teach Yoga to Children

Mount Madonna School and Mount Madonna Institute are co-presenting an extraordinary yoga teacher training program for educators: Teaching Yoga and Mindfulness to Children,” June 22-July 2.

Participants can learn to create and teach engaging yoga classes for children, and apply the practices of Hatha Yoga and the theory of classical Ashtanga Yoga to child development.

This comprehensive training will inspire participants to bring the benefits of asana, breathing, and self-reflection to young students and their families. This course is designed to deepen your personal yoga practice. This yoga intensive will take place at Mount Madonna School.

Highlights will include:

~ Reaching and teaching kids in the classroom and in the studio

~ Ayurvedic perspective on nutrition and child development

~ Mindfulness in sitting, walking, talking and playing

~ Anatomy and physiology

~ Yoga games and partner yoga

Tuition is $1,200 plus meals & lodging (see housing cost)​

Participants will receive a certificate of completion of a 95-hour Children’s Yoga Teacher Training. Those who hold a RYT-200 with Yoga Alliance will be able to register as a Certified Children’s Yoga Teacher (CRYT).
