The inclusion of a student blog for this middle school learning journey is a new addition. Students will take turns sharing their reflections on the days’ experiences, and we invite you to follow along throughout the course of their trip.
While in historic Boston, students will have the opportunity to survey the major events and ideas that led to the American War of Independence and visit historical sites associated with the early American republic.
This excursion will showcase Boston’s importance as a city that experienced slavery, revolution and independence from colonial rule, and how this impacted the people of early America, and deepen sttudents’ understanding of the foundational arguments for freedom and democracy. Experiential learning opportunities, such as this travel experience, support Mount Madonna School’s commitment to fostering creative, intellectual and ethical growith in all students.
