We will be hosting an afternoon teacher workshop on February 28 and students will be released from school at 12:30pm. Bus times will be approximately 3 hours earlier.
In the evening, at 7:00pm, there will be a free public lecture for adults and older students in the Crocker Theater at Cabrillo College. The guest speaker is Mark R. Rosekind, Ph.D., a sleep and fatigue expert and former head of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. His research has direct implications for students, adults and schools by showing the dramatic changes that occur as a result of fatigue on brain development and behavior.
Although the lecture is free, reservations are required. Reserve your seat at tinyurl.com/2018SpeakerSeries
The annual Speaker Series on Education is presented by Mount Madonna, Gateway and York schools and Cabrillo College.
