The Mount Madonna School community is saddened by the sudden loss of volleyball coach and friend, Trevor Krieg, in an accident on Memorial Day weekend.
On Thursday, May 31 at 8:00pm there will be a candlelight vigil at Main Beach by the boardwalk – please bring a candle and a photo.
On Saturday, June 2 at 9:00am there is a 4-person volleyball tournament being held at Rio Del Mar Beach. Signups are at 8:15am. All proceeds will be going to Trevor’s family to help pay for funeral costs.
Santa Cruz’s Main Beach Volleyball Club (MBVC) will host a Memorial Service to honor Trevor at 10:00am on Sunday, June 10 at Rio Del Mar Beach. MBVC and Mount Madonna School (MMS) will bring flowers to use as offerings to put into the ocean.
The service is taking place on the day of MMS’ final 2012 Ramayana! performance, and timing will be tight for MMS students needing to get to San Jose for cast call. In light of this, organizers will give MMS students the opportunity at the beginning of the service to read notes about Trevor (or have someone else read them) and sing a song to honor his memory.

Trevor Krieg Memorial T-shirts are available for $10. Trevor’s UCSC clan have created a great memorial T-shirt and are selling them for $10 as a way to raise funds to help pay for funeral costs. We are hoping that we can get everyone to buy one and then wear it to the Memorial on Sunday.
There are 3 ways to get the T-shirts:
1) You can order the T-shirts from Michelle Meyer down at Rio Beach Courts on Saturday June 2 at the tournament.
2) You can order the T-shirts from Coach Gabby also taking orders, so people can text or email her with name and size of shirt. Gabby will need the orders and money by June 5 (address above).
3) You can text Jaclynn Kathleen at 831-234-3504 and leave her your name and size and then send a check to her at P.O. Box 3295 Santa Cruz, CA. 95063. Also by June 5.
