MMS Sophomore to Perform in “The Nutcracker”

Mount Madonna School sophomore Amelia Busenhart, a longtime dancer with Santa Cruz Ballet Theatre (SCBT) will perform in its upcoming 12th anniversary production of  “The Nutcracker,” featuring a 51-piece orchestra conduced by Maestro Pamela Martin.
 
Performances are December 19, 20 and 21 at the Santa Cruz Civic Auditorium. 
 
Guest stars will include alumna Lauryn Winterhalder with Richard Smith of Sacramento Ballet opening night and Melody Mennite Walsh of Houston Ballet with Michael Bearden of Ballet West on Saturday and Sunday.
 
Busenhart will perform the roles of Snow Queen, Peppermint Candy Cane, the Arabian Princess and Flower. For more information and for tickets go to www.scbt,org
