Mount Madonna School Champions Inclusive Education Through Flexible Tuition Model

Mount Madonna School (MMS) has fostered curiosity, critical thinking, creativity and meaningful relationships as an independent preschool – 12th grade school for more than four decades. Now MMS proudly announces its ongoing commitment to providing high-quality education to families of diverse socio-economic backgrounds.

MMS allocates more than 35% of its operating budget toward the Flexible Tuition program, with a robust 71% of families benefiting from financial support, solidifying its dedication to a diverse, caring and inclusive community.

“An inherent core value of Mount Madonna School is providing an inclusive and equitable learning environment,” said Ann Goewert, MMS head of school. “Mount Madonna School’s Flexible Tuition program is an expression of this core value as it allows families to qualify for reduced tuition based on their unique financial profile. At Mount Madonna School, we believe that the Flexible Tuition program strengthens our transformative education and community.”

Another facet of MMS’ accessibility is its school bus transportation services to the inland communities of Gilroy and Morgan Hill and ocean-side communities of Watsonville, Aptos, Soquel and Santa Cruz. This ensures that getting to school is not a barrier for families.

“Our bus service and flexible tuition are designed to make an MMS education possible and add to the diversity of our community,” says Linda Manzur, MMS admissions, enrollment and development manager. “It aligns with our core values that quality education should be accessible for all.”

MMS has outlined a comprehensive application process for flexible tuition. Families are encouraged to apply by completing the FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment, a user-friendly online platform that guides users through the application process. The application deadline for priority consideration is February 15, 2024.

Once submitted, families will be notified by FACTS when their award is ready for viewing. The determination is need-based, taking into account various factors. Mount Madonna School invites prospective families to reach out, apply and start a journey toward educational excellence. For more information, please contact Linda Manzur at
