Chaperones for MMS Dances: Parents/Guardians, in addition to faculty members, are needed to chaperone Middle and High School Dances throughout the school year.
Our dances are fun for all and we do ask that music, dancing and language be appropriate for all age levels of attendees. Below is a list of guidelines to be followed.
Please ensure that:
- the windows and doors are shut at 9 pm, for sound control (in Assembly Room)
- students stay in the middle school quad and in a visible area
- students don’t wander (occasionally walk around outside)
- dancing style is appropriate
- No freaking
- No lap dances
- No grinding
- students aren’t running around wild
- kids don’t mess with the playlist or try to substitute their own iPod or music devices (support the DJ)
- none of the dancing becomes aggressive, where students can be hurt
- to walk around and make sure that everything is okay inside the dance hall
- the behavior is appropriate
Ask a faculty member to respond to any student behavior that is questionable.
