Watsonville Patch.com: Watsonville Star Student Is Student Government President

Watsonville Patch.com, 1/30/2023, “Watsonville Star Student Is Student Government President,” by Bea Karnes.

WATSONVILLE, CA — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.

Here at Patch, we’ve launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.

This submission comes from Ann Goewert, who nominated Zoey, a high school senior, of Watsonville.

How do you know the star local student?

I am the Head of School where she is a student.

Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?

Zoey is a highly motivated, intellectual and creative student. Her academic excellence is not only reflected by her grades but her genuine curiosity and desire to learn. She plays on the varsity volleyball team, track and field team, beach volleyball and club volleyball. Zoey serves as the student government president and is always willing to lend a hand to support the school. She is also active in designing and selling her own art.

What’s one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?

When she graduates from Mount Madonna School, she will positively impact any community she joins.

Congratulations on your achievements, and all of our best wishes to you in the future, Zoey!
