Each day, as I approach the mountain, there is a moment where I look up and I am struck by the beauty and majesty that will envelop my child during his school day and I become inspired.
I am inspired by the students.
I am inspired by the exceptional faculty.
I am inspired by the families that greet me.
Mount Madonna School (MMS) stands surrounded by incredible natural beauty as a beacon of what is possible when a small group of deeply committed individuals come together with a shared vision of how they can collaborate in service of the ‘greater good.’
At MMS we work to educate and empower each individual student to bring forth their unique gifts and vision into the world, and that is quite a remarkable goal.
The reality of this mission to educate includes the day-in-and-out expenses of maintaining buildings, books, supplies, insurance and all of the other operating expenses we must meet every year.
In lieu of dramatically increasing the cost of tuition, Annual Giving is how we each make a tax-deductible contribution to MMS that allows this important work to continue for the current school year.
I ask that each of us look at our children and consider the gift that an MMS education is to them. I know that my own child’s time here is already reflected in the way he sees the world and himself in it.
For many of us a large contribution at this time of year can be an opportunity for a tax benefit, while for others it is potentially an end of the year financial stretch. I invite you to consider the option to make your pledge and spread out payments over the next six months. I know that for our family this payment option has increased our capacity to contribute.
